Furniture removal from the room to the van, without you lifting a thing
Furniture Removal collects unwanted furniture from inside homes and businesses across England, Scotland and Wales and disposes of it. A two-person crew arrives in a van, takes the piece apart in the room if it will not fit through the door, carries it down the stairs or into the lift and loads it. You let them in and point at what is going. The rest is their job.
It starts with a photo. Send one of the furniture where it stands, with a line about the floor it is on, and we reply with a fixed price for the whole job. A fitted wardrobe screwed to the wall, a bed frame in a loft room, a solid oak dining table or a chest of drawers on a half landing all get the same treatment, and the figure we send is what you pay once everything is on the van.
Furniture Removal is an upper tier waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency under licence CBDU526130. Sound pieces are offered for reuse first, and the rest goes to a licensed waste transfer station where wood, metal and glass are recovered. Ask for a waste transfer note and we send one. Bookcases, cabinets, garden furniture and office furniture are covered too, and anything else that counts as furniture comes under furniture disposal.

No price surprises on the day
The price you are sent from your photo is the price you pay once the furniture is on the van. If anything looks different from the photo when we arrive, we tell you before we lift it.
How you get a price
-
Send a photo
Take a picture of the furniture where it stands and send it to us, with a note of the floor it is on and whether there is a lift. The form on this page does the sending for you.
-
Get a fixed price
One figure comes back for the whole job: any taking apart, the carrying, the loading and the disposal. The crew does not add anything when they see the piece in person.
-
Pick a slot
Tell us the day that suits and we book it. Same-day or next-day is often possible, and the earlier in the morning you get in touch the better your chance of a slot that day.
-
Pay once it is loaded
Two people take the furniture apart if it needs it, carry it out, load it onto the van and take the quoted price. You do not empty it, dismantle it or put it on the pavement.
Why people use us
Registered and insured
Our upper tier waste carrier licence is CBDU526130, held with the Environment Agency, and the crew works under £5 million of public liability cover and £10 million of employers' liability.
One price, nothing added
The figure that comes back from your photo is the whole cost. When the crew is standing in front of the furniture the price stays exactly as quoted.
Fifteen years, five hundred jobs
Furniture has been coming out of bedrooms, lofts and offices with this crew for more than 15 years, across over 500 jobs, and the Google rating sits at 5 stars.
Nine tenths recycled
Of everything collected, 90% is recycled. A piece that is still sound is offered for reuse before anything else, and the wood, metal and glass in the rest are recovered.

Plain answers to the questions people ask before getting rid of furniture.
Furniture removal questions answered
How do I get a price for furniture removal?
Send us a photo of the furniture, with a line about which floor it is on and how we get to it. One fixed price comes back for the whole job, and that is the figure you pay when the last piece is on the van.
Do I need to take the furniture apart first?
No. If a wardrobe, bed or table will not go through the door in one piece, the crew takes it apart in the room with their own tools. You do not need to empty drawers into bags or unscrew anything yourself.
Do I need to get it outside?
No. Two people come into the property, carry the furniture out from wherever it stands and load it. Loft rooms, first-floor flats without a lift, awkward turns on the stairs and narrow hallways are all part of a normal day.
Can you collect today?
Quite often. Same-day or next-day collection is offered wherever we can manage it, and a message first thing in the morning gives you the best chance of a slot before the end of the day. We tell you straight away what is possible.
Are you a registered waste carrier?
Yes. Furniture Removal holds upper tier waste carrier licence CBDU526130, registered with the Environment Agency and covering England and Wales. You are welcome to check it, and a waste transfer note is available for your records if you ask.
What happens to my furniture after you take it?
A piece that is still sound is offered for reuse first. Anything else goes to a licensed waste transfer station, where the wood, metal and glass are separated and recovered rather than sent to landfill as one lump.
How many people come?
Two, every time. A wardrobe carcass or a solid table is carried by two people rather than dragged across your floor, and two pairs of hands are what it takes to get a bed frame round a turn on the stairs without marking the walls.
Why not use the council bulky waste collection?
You can. Councils offer a bulky collection that is booked ahead, often with a wait, and the furniture usually has to be left outside on a set day. We carry it out of the room for you and aim for same-day or next-day wherever possible. Send a photo and compare.
